Serena was founded in 1990 as a one-man Company to provide transport and organizational services for the Tanzanian northern safari circuit, and serve the needs of the conferences and institutions based at the
AICC. Now it provides the most comprehensive car-hire facilities in Northern Tanzania.
We can provide vehicles on a daily or monthly Contract basis, including state-of-the-art 4WD vehicles, micro-buses, mini-buses and safari wagons. Unless specifically agreed otherwise, every vehicle comes with a driver. Visitors from the USA or Europe may find this strange. For an explanation please check our

We can set up fully guided and organized excursions and safaris, with associated accommodation, to destinations
like
Mount Kilimanjaro,
Arusha National Park,
Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park,
Ngorongoro Crater, and the incomparable
Serengeti National Park, as well as beach holidays to
Zanzibar and the beaches near
Pangani. Our driver-cum-guides have an intimate knowledge of these areas and can be relied upon to find the elusive species, spectacular views, and unspoiled seaside hideaways that you will want to see.
At the other end of the spectrum, an on-line booking with Serena will guarantee you a calm and luxurious trip from
Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to your overnight destination in Arusha. We will be there!
Owing to our association with various organizations here, we frequently cater for Tanzanian and East African Ministers, judges of the African Court on Human and Peoples Rights, conference delegates, foreign dignitaries, and not least, the most discriminating tourists. So our primary focus is on the highest possible quality of vehicles, service, and timing - compromise is not in our book.
